Finding out your fare

New to the city and using the MVV for the first time? The basics of the MVV tariff system are easy to understand for beginners and advanced users alike: both can find the answers to their questions easily and quickly

Zones

› The MVV region is divided into four zones for the cash tariff. The fare of your Single Ticket, Stripe Ticket and Day Ticket depends upon the number of zones you travel through.

Circles

› Fares for Season Tickets are finely graded: the MVV tariff district is divided into 16 circles. You pay for the circles you need.  

Short trip

› Using the MVV for just a couple of stops is of course cheaper. What exactly is a short trip?
Rules on who or what you are permitted to travel with.

The accompanied person rule

› Who or what you can take on a bus or train trip.
