Landed safely – what now?
The Airport-City-Day-Ticket is a day ticket for the entire MVV-network.
- Valid from the moment of purchase until 6 a.m. the following day
- All means of transport within the MVV: S-Bahn, regional trains, U-Bahn
(underground trains), buses and trams - Available as a single ticket or as a partner ticket for up to 5 adults

1) What do I need to know about the Airport-City-Day-Ticket?
The Partner Day Ticket is valid for up to five adults, whereby any two children between 6 and 14 years of age count as one adult.
The Airport-City-Day-Ticket is available from a ticket machines at the airport and at most S-Bahn stops. First select "MVV Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund" in the top right hand corner of the screen, then “Airport-City-Day-Ticket“.
You may pay with coins, notes, debit cards or a card pre-loaded with credit (“GeldKarte“). The ticket machines at the airport also accept payment by creditcard.
For a single trip you may also want to use the
› Single Ticket or the › Stripe Ticket.
2) How to get from the airport into the city
The S1 and S8 lines leave Munich Airport for the city centre every ten minutes on an alternating basis - S1 takes the route in direction of Munich West, S8 travels in direction Munich East. The journey takes about 35 minutes.
3) At which S-Bahn stops is the Airport-City-Day-Ticket not available?
Due to the distance to the airport it is not possible to purchase the ticket from the ticket machines at the following S-Bahn stops. At these stops, please select “Flughafen” (airport) as your destination.
