Data protection
MVV on data protection
The MVV GmbH observes the respective legal regulations for data protection that are currently in force and guarantees the protection of the transmitted data in accordance with the Datenschutzgesetz (Data Protection Act). The data is not transmitted to third parties unless this is necessary for a successful transmission.
The transmitted data is only used for the purpose for which it was collected, except as is stated in the following.
Any user transmitting his/her data has, as a person affected under the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG) (Federal Data Protection Act), the right to object to the use or transmission of his/her data for publicity purposes (block indicator). Furthermore, the person affected has the right of disclosure and, under certain circumstances, of correction, blockage and deletion of the data saved in one of the MVV GmbH files.
Pursuant to the BDSG, data processing and the use of data is admissible if the BDSG or any other legal provision permits it or if the person affected has agreed to it. The BDSG always permits data processing and the use of data if this is done within the appropriation framework of a contractual relationship or quasi-contractual confidential relationship or insofar as it is necessary to safeguard the justified interests of the centre saving the data or of a third person, e.g. the addressee, and if there is no reason to assume that the affected person’s interest with regard to the processing and use exclusion merits protection, prevails or that the person affected has such an interest that merits protection.
Some of the services offered by MVV GmbH are subject to special regulations, as outlined below.
