IAA Mobility in Munich

9th to 14th September 2025

The world's largest mobility trade fair will take place again in Munich. Under the motto "It's All About Mobility", the exhibitors will showcase a wide range of future mobility topics.

IAA Mobility takes place both at the exhibition grounds and at various locations throughout the city center, and will be divided into the following formats:

On this page, we inform you how to get to the exhibition grounds and the free exhibition and activity areas in the city center easily and conveniently by public transport. You’ll also find MVV-ticket information and relevant time-table schedule changes.

How to get to the Exhibition Center (IAA Summit)?

From Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), you can take the U-Bahn (U2) towards the Messestadt Ost to the stop Messestadt West that takes about 20 minutes. Trains run approximately every 5 minutes.

From Munich Airport, you can take the S-Bahn (S1 or S8) to Munich Central Station, then transfer to the U-Bahn line U2 at Central Station to Messestadt West.

Alternatively, you can also use the Airport-Messe-Shuttle (not included in MVV-Tariff!), which will take you directly from the airport to the exhibition center.

 

How to get to the IAA Open Space in Munich City Center?

All locations in Munich’s city center are easily accessible by public transport. From Munich Central Station, you can reach the IAA Open Space locations in about 10 minutes by public transport or 20 minutes on foot. The MVV app helps you find the best connections!

The IAA Open Space map gives you a clear overview of the included locations: Königsplatz, Wittelsbacherplatz, Odeonsplatz, Ludwigstraße, Max-Joseph-Platz, Marienplatz, Residenzhöfe, and Geschwister-Scholl-Platz/Professor-Huber-Platz. All locations are within the MVV Zone M.

Ticket Offers

If you are using public transport in the MVV region to travel to the IAA Mobility, you will need a valid MVV-ticket. If you don’t already have a Deutschland-Ticket (valid on all MVV lines), we recommend the following tickets - or simply use MVVswipe.

 

Where can you buy MVV- tickets?

You can purchase the appropriate MVV tickets directly here in the app as MVV-MobileTicket.

Alternatively, you can also buy your ticket at ticket machines and points of sale.
