With a valid MVV day ticket (single or group) or a ‘Guten Tag’ ticket, you’ll always pay the reduced price at the ticket office at the valley station. In summer, this covers a return trip (including use of the summer toboggan run). In winter, this covers a return trip on the 4-seater chairlift (including use of the winter toboggan run).

Wendelstein Railway

Always the group rate

If you hold a valid MVV ticket, Guten Tag ticket or Bayern-Ticket, you pay only the Wendelsteinbahn group fare for a return journey on the Wendelstein rack railway in Brannenburg, the Wendelstein cable car in Bayrischzell or a combined ticket, even for individual journeys. With an MVV group day ticket, up to five adults per ticket are eligible for a discount.

Zugspitze Railway

Various discounts with an MVV day ticket

Downhill journey from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Grainau: €1 one way / €2 return
Ascent and descent to the Zugspitze: 5% in the winter season / 10% in the summer season

With an MVV group day ticket, up to five adults or twice that number of children aged 14 and under per ticket are eligible for the discount.
