Six months of MyRadl: a successful first review
With more than 900,000 journeys and over 129,000 users, MyRadl has successfully established itself in Munich and the surrounding region since its launch in May 2026.
Monthly hire figures have tripled since then. Particularly encouraging is the fact that MyRadl is not only used within individual local authorities. Around seven per cent of journeys cross city or local authority boundaries. As a result, the bike-sharing scheme is developing into a mobility service that connects the entire MVV area.
And MyRadl continues to grow: from 2027, 15 further areas will be added, with 280 bikes and 53 stations. In the planned overall system, around 6,700 bikes are set to be available at approximately 1,000 stations across 52 local authorities.
MyRadl complements bus and train services and creates additional options for flexible everyday and leisure journeys. The service is particularly attractive for passengers with a valid MVV season ticket or an MVV Deutschlandticket: the first half-hour is free of charge when using standard bikes.
