The MVV’s €365 ticket is resulting in millions of euros in lost revenue for transport operators. It is therefore being funded by the Free State of Bavaria, the City of Munich and the eight member districts of the transport association.
- When the scheme was launched, the focus of the funding bodies was on school pupils and apprentices.
- Students are therefore not eligible for the MVV 365-euro ticket.
- For students, the student fare remains available with monthly and weekly tickets, the monthly student subscription ticket, and, at some universities, the Germany Ticket discount ticket.
The entitlement to reimbursement under the Act on Free School Transport remains unchanged.
- Anyone who has previously received a free ticket or a refund will continue to pay nothing, provided they are still eligible.
- If you have any questions regarding free travel to school, please contact the relevant funding authority:
- In the district transport associations, this is usually the district administration offices
- In the City of Munich, the Department for Education and Sport is responsible
