How to purchase:
- Check your customer card to see if the Ausbildung PlusCard can be used (note and control number present)
- At the ticket machine, select the student fare under “Season tickets”
- Enter the control number
- Select the desired zones
- Buy the ticket as a monthly pass

Good to know – PlusCard training
The PlusCard for students is not a standalone ticket, but a supplement to an existing weekly or monthly travelcard under the student fare scheme.
- Its validity depends on the associated season ticket.
- With a monthly pass, the Education PlusCard is valid for one calendar month and additionally until 12 noon on the first working day of the following month. If this working day falls on a Saturday, it is valid until 12 noon on the next working day.
- With a weekly pass, the Ausbildung PlusCard is valid from midnight on Monday until 12 noon on the first working day of the following week, but only within the calendar month for which it was purchased.
The Training PlusCard can only be used if the full journey between your home and your place of training was specified when you ordered the customer card.
- If the season ticket at the student rate is only applied for part of the journey (e.g. from a tube station), the necessary note will be missing from the customer card.
- In this case, it is not possible to purchase the Education PlusCard.
Solution:
If you wish to use the Education PlusCard, you must apply for a new customer card with the full route from your place of residence to your place of study.
