Since 14 December 2025, the new ExpressBus lines along the Alpine chain have been connecting the regions south of Munich directly and without detours via the city for the first time.
Places such as Murnau, Penzberg, Bad Tölz, Miesbach and Rosenheim can now be reached more quickly, conveniently and sustainably. The connection, initiated by the Bavarian state government, boosts mobility, regional businesses and tourism.
Thanks to modern facilities, clear hourly timetables and daily service, locals, commuters and visitors benefit from greater flexibility, increased comfort and lower prices.
Those who use the Alpenbus travel more frequently within a single fare zone and save a noticeable amount of money with the new 1-zone fare compared to travelling via Munich.
