MVV Excursion Services

The MVV excursion services connect numerous leisure and nature destinations in the region via public transport. The hiking bus, mountain bus and other regional buses provide a comfortable and environmentally friendly way to reach hiking trails, mountain railways, lakes and recreational areas.

The standard MVV fare applies on almost all excursion routes.

Mountain Bus

The BergBus routes 396 and 996 take passengers comfortably from Munich to attractive hiking and leisure destinations in Bavaria and Tyrol. Using the service is particularly straightforward, as the standard MVV fare applies – including with the Deutschlandticket.

Samerberg Hiking Bus

RegionalBus route 493 allows you to start your hiking adventure without having to drive, taking you directly to the starting points of the most popular hikes and mountain walks on the Samerberg and around the Hochries.

Wendelstein Ring Line

Four times a day, RegionalBus route 349 circles the 1,838 m-high Wendelstein. The journey is comfortable, scenic and varied. Along the route, there are numerous destinations for day trips, walks, mountain ascents and places of interest where you can hop on or off.

Unlimited sightseeing bus

The ‘Grenzenlos’ 482 excursion bus provides convenient access to attractive leisure and day-trip destinations around Chiemsee, Priental and Tyrol. The route connects places of interest, nature experiences and leisure activities on both sides of the border – with fares on the Bavarian section based on the MVV tariff.
