Reports on passenger transport services (publication year 2022)

Publications on passenger transport services (within the MVV) in accordance with European Union

Regulation 'Regulation 1370/2007' On 3 December 2009, 'Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007' of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2007 on public passenger transport services by rail and by road came into force. This provides for a reporting obligation: “Each competent authority shall make publicly available, once a year, a comprehensive report on the public service obligations falling within its jurisdiction. This report shall include the start date and duration of public service contracts, the selected public service operators, and the compensation and exclusive rights granted to these operators. The report distinguishes between bus transport and rail transport; it must enable the monitoring and assessment of the services, quality and financing of the public transport network and, where applicable, contain information on the nature and scope of the exclusivity granted.” MVV GmbH is responsible, on behalf of the eight member districts, for publishing this comprehensive report for the transport services falling within the remit of the respective member district.

The figures for operating cost subsidies (compensation granted) are given in euros. The MVV quality standards for MVV regional bus services generally apply to the bus services listed. Transport trends in the MVV network districts

Key data on mobility

The "Basic Mobility Data" is published by MVV in collaboration with the MVV network districts. In addition to public transport modes (ranging from buses to regional trains), it also examines private transport modes and their actual usage. The basic data provide in-depth insights into the respective district-specific local transport plan and its practical implementation. Informative diagrams and graphs allow for a quick overview of how and where passenger flows are developing. New mobility services are highlighted, as is an outlook on future challenges.
