MVV app once again named ‘Best App’ in the industry

The MVV app has once again been named ‘Best App’ in the ‘Public Transport Operators’ category. This marks the third time it has taken first place in the nationwide ranking. The result is based on a recent online survey by FOCUS MONEY, which received just under 100,000 votes; more than 600 apps from 53 sectors were assessed. MVV is continuing to develop the app and is adding further digital payment options.

“The MVV app has won several awards for its user-friendliness in recent years. We are delighted that it has once again come out on top in the FOCUS MONEY rankings. It shows that we are on the right track with the app’s further development and that we are keeping our passengers’ needs in mind,” says MVV Managing Director Dr Bernd Rosenbusch.

Further digital payment features

Apple Pay and Google Pay are now also available for MVVswipe. This makes buying tickets even easier. In addition, the Bonvoyo mobility budget is to be trialled in a beta test as a further payment option for MVVswipe and the mobile ticket. The MVV app is designed to support passengers even better in their everyday lives.

MVV will continue to tailor the app’s further development to passengers’ needs. In the event of disruptions, passengers are to be informed more quickly and directly. To this end, MVV is currently setting up new data flows and improving the app’s interface. This will lay the groundwork for real-time push notifications.

“We are also working on improvements to the login process. Access to MVVswipe and mobile tickets is set to become easier and more secure, for example via passkeys or fingerprint authentication,” says Dr Markus Haller, Head of Concept Development and responsible for digital timetable media at MVV. The ad-free MVV app can be downloaded free of charge from the major app stores. The results of the online survey have been published in the 14/26 issue of FOCUS MONEY and online.
